2026 UCC Mediation Seminar Series
The Seminar Series will be hosted by Dr Róisín O’Shea.
The first of three seminars in the 2026 UCC Mediation Seminar Series began on Monday 5 October 2026. Dr Róisín O’Shea (pictured with students) joined undergraduate and postgraduate law students to give her seminar titled Mediation: A Practitioner’s Perspective. Dr Róisín O’Shea has been practising as a mediator for 16 years and has completed almost 700 cases both national and international dealing with a wide range of disputes involving company directors, business partners, employees and employment law issues, farm families, legal separation and divorce, cohabitants, and probate/succession. Dr O’ Shea will speak about how she developed a professional mediation practice and will outline some of the challenges over the years; look at some case studies and will explore the future of mediation as a profession. Róisín is a Partner in Arc Mediation, an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at UCC and is the Chair of the Irish Professional Mediators’ Organisation.
Please join us for the remaining two seminars in the series - all are welcome:
