How do I apply?

Study abroad application forms

Step 1: Research UCC's partner universities and module offerings (including language of instruction)

Step 2: Submit an application to UCC's International Office (you must be a registered 2nd year student- undergraduate only)

Step 3: Notification of your application outcome. If successful, the International Office will be in contact with you. 

Students with a mandatory year abroad

  • Your coordinator will have their own application process and deadlines.
  • This information will be provided during the study abroad information sessions.

  • A number of degree programmes at UCC require their students to meet minimum academic requirements to apply to study abroad
  • Subject to change and every effort is made to have the below information up-to-date. Please liaise with your academic coordinator before applying to study abroad.

Studying outside the EU

(Australia, Canada, USA and Singapore)

60% in 1st year and 60% in 1st semester of 2nd year 
BComm (Hons) - CK201  at least 55% in their first attempt of the First University Examination in Commerce, and  pass all modules and obtain at least 60% in the first semester of the Second University Examination in Commerce.
Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences 65% in 1st year and 65% in 1st semester of 2nd year (and maintaining this minimum for 2nd year)
Mathematical Sciences (CK407)

Students are required to speak with their academic coordinator in advance of submitting an application 

70% 

Physics 

Students are required to speak with their academic coordinator in advance of submitting an application

80%

School of Engineering 60% in 1st year and 60% in 1st semester of 2nd year (and maintaining this minimum for 2nd year)
