A new exhibition by Dr Richard Scriven, Journeys of Belief and Belonging: Modern Irish Pilgrimage, was opened in the UCC Library by University College Cork president, Professor Patrick O’Shea.

It illustrates the significant role pilgrimage still plays in contemporary Ireland, in the emotional and spiritual lives of thousands of individuals and in the social life of communities. Richard is an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellow in the department. The exhibition, which is opened to the public until late June, is funded by the Irish Research Council and UCC Library.
