- Jodot to premiere at Cork Fringe, founded by UCC MA in Arts Management and Creative Producing graduates Daniel Cremin and Ineke Lavers
Audiences are invited to step into a world of sound and space as Joshua Dyson, the 2024-25 recipient of the UCC/Cork Opera House Masters Studentship, presents Jodot at Cork Fringe on Saturday, 10 May.
Jodot is a site-specific performative installation that unfolds through a 14.1 multichannel system and live sound production. Dyson’s work encourages audiences to reflect on themes such as counterculture, heterotopia, interconnectedness, data, and maintenance labour — all through sound.
Jodot will take place on Saturday, 10 May at 7pm in the TDC at the Triskel as part of the inaugural Cork Fringe. Tickets are now available.
Founded by Daniel Cremin and Ineke Lavers, graduates of MA in Arts Management and Creative Producing at UCC, Cork Fringe will celebrate the weird, the wonderful, and the under-represented in the Cork arts-scene. Cork Fringe aims to present a multi-disciplinary arts festival that nurtures new and established artists and arts professionals of all artistic disciplines.
Daniel Cremin said: "We are so excited to have Joshua as part of the first Cork Fringe. His practice operates between critical spatial theory, sound studies, and site-specific interventions. Jodot will be something truly special for audiences, inviting people to experience sound in ways you may never have before "
Cork Fringe will take place in venues across the city from 9 – 11 May. View the programme here.
