School of BEES Field Courses

Field Course season returned to the School of BEES this year and students from Applied Plant Biology travelled around Ireland discovering new and exciting sustainability practices that will inform and enrich their study.
This spring, students from the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences (BEES) had the opportunity once again to experience the benefits of learning in the field. Students travelled to Portugal (Zoology and Environmental Science), Greece (Geology) as well as the Burren in Co. Clare (first year BEES students).
Applied Plant Biology third year students spent an interesting week around Ireland (Dublin, Wicklow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Cork) exploring the work carried out by public and private enterprises on topics related to conservation, exploration, innovation, food production, sustainability, European Green Deal (Farm to Fork) and much more.
