Exploring mechanisms of response to canopy shade

Paulina Mastalerz, an Erasmus-exchange student at Helsinki University and BEES, UCC has recently featured on Hortidaily.com.
Paulina is supervised by Matthew Robson (Helsinki) and Marcel Jansen (Cork) and her work involves exploring how plants respond to canopy shade during spring and summer. "In addition, experiments at the University of Helsinki greenhouse aim to elucidate further the signals that plants receive and process and the consequences of these responses for the environment".
