Jill Haynes has a BSc in Genetics and a PhD in Microbiology from University College Cork. She has extensive grant writing and review experience, and has also undertaken Continuous Professional Development training in the areas of project management, quality assurance and management, and process continuous improvement.
She worked as Projects Officer in the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science, UCC, from 2010 to 2014. She then took up the role of Research Officer in Research Support Services, Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation, UCC, where she was based until taking up this position in the APC Microbiome Institute. She was also seconded to the role of Commercialisation Case Manager in UCC and Teagasc for a period of six months in 2015/’16.
