Listen to your Microbes by Fergus Shanahan and Laura Gowers is a graphic story of the human gut microbiome, told from the perspective of the microbes. The book is published by Liberties Press and is supported by interviews with key scientists from APC Microbiome Ireland linked to the text by QR codes. This project is intended as a public health service and explores the use of imagery and humour to present complex concepts including the majesty of the gut microbiota and the role of personal human microbes in public health.
