Brendan Curran
Biography
Brendan has a psychology degree from UCD, an MSc in Neuroscience from King’s College London and a PhD in Neurophysiology from UCD. Following post-doctoral work in neurobiology at the Vrije University in Amsterdam Brendan returned to Ireland and joined the Health Research Board in 2004 as research evaluation manager. From there he joined the APC in 2013 and as IP Manager Brendan is responsible for the protection and management of the APC’s IP portfolio, and for promoting commercialisation of APC IP in conjunction with the Technology Transfer Offices in both UCC and Teagasc. Brendan is also responsible for contract negotiation with APC industry partners, for monitoring delivery of these projects and for capturing and protecting arising IP from these projects.
