Rosarii Griffin

Dr Rosarii Griffin is a researcher at the Office of the Vice-President for Teaching & Learning, and lectures on research and project management skills across UCC, including Adult Continuing Education. A graduate of UCC (BA, HDE, MEd. (Hons), Rosarii was awarded a British Council ESRC Scholarship to study at Oxford University UK where she read for a doctorate in International and Comparative Education. Rosarii subsequently won the prestigious Vice-Chancellor of Oxford Award for excellence in her doctoral research. Whilst there, Rosarii also read for a Masters (MSc) in Research Methodology. Subsequently, Rosarii won the prestigious EU Weiner-Anspach Fellowship to undertake post-doctoral research at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Brussels, Belgium. In 2003, Rosarii returned to UCC to work in Adult Education. In 2008, Rosarii took a career break from UCC for the role of Director of a Centre for Global Development through Education at Limerick in pursuit of her interest in education for global development and capacity building of educators in relation to teaching and learning. To date, Rosarii has published 5 books in the area of international education. Initially, Rosarii began her career in education as secondary school teacher of English and French and taught in the greater Cork area. Rosarii is currently an elected member of the UCC’s Governing Body (2014-2019).
