"From Baudelaire through Picasso to Sartre: Scenes from the lives of the demonic avant-garde"

Professor Arpad Szakolczai, Department of Sociology and Criminology, UCC, had a rapt audience for his seminar on Tuesday 28th January.

This lecture placed the emphasis on some aspects of the cultural avant-garde, It also offered some hints concerning the interpenetration not  just with the political avant-garde, but also the economic-capitalistic and scientific-technological avant-garde.
