Dr Dónal Hassett, of the Department of French in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, has been awarded a prestigious ERC Starting Grant of €1.2 million for a project titled COLVET – Ex-soldiers of Empire: Colonial Veterancy of the Interwar World.
