Could you sum up your mandate in five bullet points? 

  • Ensure Gender Equality in UCC Decision-Making
  • Enhance Graduate Research Resources
  • Improve Progression Routes to Graduate Courses
  • Improve Graduate Career Progression Routes at UCC
  • Create greater links between UCC graduates and the business community

 

Rosarii GRIFFIN is asking you for her vote and she promises to represent your interests at the highest level in UCC if elected.  

 

Could you provide a brief biography?

Dr Rosarii Griffin is a former governor of UCC (2003-7), having graduated from UCC with a BA, H.Dip in Ed., and MEd (Hons).  As an British Council ESRC Scholar, Rosarii read for an MSc and Doctorate at Oxford University. Whilst there, she was elected Vice-President of Exeter College Graduates and served on its Governing Body. She was then elected President of Graduates at St Hugh’s College Oxford. If elected onto the Graduate panel of UCC's Governing Body 2015, Rosarii will bring this experience to bear. Therefore, Rosarii asks you for her vote and promises to represent your interests at the highest level in UCC if elected. Her past track record is testimony to this.

Currently, Rosarii researches at UCC's Centre for Teaching and Learning and lectures in Adult Continuing Education, UCC.  Former Director of a Centre for Global Development in Limerick (2007-11), Rosarii is interested in global development, and capacity building in relation to teaching and learning. Her research interests include: e-learning, education for social justice, gender equality and education for global development. Rosarii is an active member of UCCRSA and IFUT. To date, Rosarii has published five books in the area of international education. 

 

How to vote:

If you are a Graduate of UCC (possessing any UCC degree), you are entitled to vote on the Graduate Panel of UCC’s Governing Body.  If you did not receive a postal ballot, you can still vote in person on Wednesday 14th January from 2-4pm in the Council room, North Wing, UCC. If you did receive a postal ballot, be sure to return it to UCC before Wed. 14th of January
