International Students Social Trip

International students from the School of Nursing & Midwifery take time out of their busy schedule to enjoy the sights of West Cork
38 students from the BSc Nursing Studies and MSc (Non-EU) Nursing along with staff had a very successful trip to West Cork recently as part of their cultural experience of studying in Cork. Seven countries were represented, Nigeria, China, Ghana, Malawi, South Korea, India, and Ireland! First stop was Inchydoney beach where the students embraced the wind and the sun to walk the beach and marvel at the huge waves as well as taking the opportunity to dance a little to the beat of some great Nigerian music. Lunch was in Clonakilty where everyone had time to browse the shops and enjoy the lovely town. Then it was onto Castlefreke Woods where the bluebells awaited in the woodland walk. The final stop was in Ownahincha for an ice cream and the last views of the Atlantic Ocean before heading back to Cork. A great day was had by all.
Letting the trees know in Castlefreke Woods that they are loved!!
