HSE launched mychild.ie

and new pregnancy and child health information resources
In promoting the health and well-being of babies , children and their families, a major development from Nurture and the National Healthy Childhood Programme occurred last week with the www.MyChild.ie website launched by Minister Simon Harris alongside three new books for parents.
The new ‘My Pregnancy’ book is a 224 page guide that will be given to all pregnant women at their first antenatal appointment from early 2019. All parents will then receive the next books in sequence, ‘My Child: 0 to 2 years’ and ‘My Child: 2 to 5 years’, from their public health nurse (photo of the first two attached). These evidence based resources were updated, designed and newly developed with the support and collaboration of parents, subject matter experts, IT experts, education and information literacy personnel as well as frontline healthcare practitioners.
