Connecting Care, Knowledge, and Research: Partnership in Action
Date: 3rd December 2026
Venue: Aula Maxima, The Quad, Main Campus, University College Cork
Organised in partnership by the:
- Office of the Regional Director of Nursing & Midwifery Health Service Executive South West
- Department of Nursing and Healthcare Sciences, Munster Technological University, Tralee, Co Kerry.
- School of Nursing and Midwifery, University College Cork
There will be oral and poster abstracts outlining Research, Innovation, Quality Improvement, Education or Leadership Initiatives in the context of:
- Chronic Disease or Complex Care across the Lifespan in any setting.
- Acute Care or Trauma Systems or Critical Care Nursing.
- Transforming Care for Mothers, Infants, and Families through Research or Integrated Care or Inclusion Health in any setting.
- The Advancement of Health Systems Performance and Clinical Outcomes in any setting.
The deadline to register is Monday, 23rd of November or when venue capacity is reached. Registration is free with no fees to participate. Early registration is encouraged given the limited venue capacity.
We are delighted to welcome a diverse range of distinguished speakers to the conference, including invited keynote speakers, Dr Mike Ryan, Professor Jeroen Hendriks, Dr Michael Connolly and Ms Bridie O'Sullivan. Their expertise and experience across healthcare, policy, research, and innovation will contribute significantly to the conference programme and stimulate insightful discussion among participants. We are particularly honoured to welcome Dr Mike Ryan, internationally recognised public health specialist and former Executive Director of the World Health Organization's Health Emergencies Programme, whose leadership during global health emergencies, including the COVID-19 pandemic, has influenced public health policy and practice.
