Microbiology Society Temple Street Fundraiser
As part of a national fundraising initiative for Temple Street Children's University Hospital, the Microbiology Society, UCC, organised a bake sale on Friday the 3rd of May. The Great Irish Bake, now in its fifth year, raises funds for Temple Street Children's University Hospital.
The Microbiology Society event was a great success, raising €513.63 in total! This money will be used to help renovate one of the oldest wards in Temple Street, home to many children suffering from Cystic Fibrosis (http://www.thegreatirishbake.ie/).
The Microbiology Society thanked everyone who baked for and bought cakes at the Micro Fundraising Bake sale and congratulated everyone in the Microbiology department for pitching in and helping such a great cause.
