Students Supporting Students
IT Services support our students through our Student IT Services, providing them with the work-ready learning tools they need to succeed in today’s world. IT Services have over 44 students who support both the staff and student IT Service desks and in this article we will share details on our Student IT Services.

The Student IT Service Desk provides IT support and advice for students via phone and email support. We also provide support in person on the ground floor of the Boole Library. Student IT staff are available from 08:30 – 21:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 – 21:00 on weekends. Our current staff consist of a mix of students doing undergraduate degrees, Masters and PhDs.
Our Student IT website, sit.ucc.ie, provides all the information students need to help them throughout their journey in UCC, from information about student accounts to IT training resources. You can watch our Welcome to Student IT Services video below, which shares information for new students to UCC.
