As a research-intensive University with ambitions to further strengthen and develop our research and academic excellence, UCC prioritised an investment in the online survey instrument Qualtrics XM - a powerful and simple to use survey tool used to conduct surveys, collect & store data and produce reports. The Qualtrics survey tool will be available free to all academic research staff and students and is recommended as the University’s preferred survey tool.

When asked about the project, Deirdre Kearney, Surveys Project Manager said “Surveys are a valuable tool for students to provide feedback on their educational experience, for conducting research and for the University to collect information for quality assurance and strategic management purposes.

Therefore, it was important that all students and academic research staff have access to a future-proofed research solution, reducing the burden on internal systems support.  The adoption of licenced Qualtrics survey software is a key element of our delivery success, ensuring a cross functional oversight”

Key thanks goes to the Qualtrics Implementation team comprised of: Eugene van den Hurk (IT Services), Noelle Barry (IT Services PMO), Liz Hales (UCC Research), Aoife Coffey (Library) , Aaron Bolger (Applied Psychology), Clare Lehane (Finance), Claire Fennell (CUBS) and Stephen Hammel (Quality Enhancement Unit).

Help and support is provided directly by the Qualtrics support team through chat, email or phone. Find out more about these support options and how to access Qualtrics, it's key features and training resources on the SharePoint site QualtricsUCC - Home (sharepoint.com)
