So far so good!

The Digital Advisory Centre launched in May 2022.  Since then, we’ve handled over 150 consultation requests.  These requests include providing advice on what technologies are available (e.g. forms for data gathering), providing best practise advice (e.g. which storage option to use), and working with departments to digitise paper-based processes.

Learn Live Sessions

We have completed two successful series of our Learn Live sessions. These sessions covered various topics from setting up a Microsoft Team to successfully implementing a basic Power Automate Flow.
For those who missed the sessions you can catch up with on DAC Learn Live Recordings page.

Feedback and the Future

Engagement with the UCC community is what informs our Learn Live series.  It also guides us on topics to highlight in our Tips and Tricks emails and content that we publish on our IT Services – Digital Advisory Centre SharePoint page.  You can submit your feedback or topic suggestions via our form.

We have received very positive feedback on the work we’ve undertaken and look forward to continuing this work alongside UCC staff to develop and improve our administrative processes.

“Thanks for designing and developing an efficient automated system”

"The introduction of a form-based extension request system has assisted in the processing c. 400 student applications"

“Thank you both for meeting with us yesterday, we found it to be very helpful”

“Thank you for your patience and assistance on this project”

“Thank you for the overview and the continued progress”

DAC Feature: Bookings with me

Bookings with me in Microsoft Outlook Web Access is a personal booking calendar. It allows colleagues or students to book a meeting in your calendar based on your predefined availability preferences.  An example might be where you wish for a group of people to book individual one-to-one meetings with you during a scheduled time period.  They can book a timeslot for one of the times that you have defined that you are available.

Note: Bookings with me is only available in Outlook Web Access.  You will not be able use the feature in Outlook client.

To help you get started the DAC have an overview on using Bookings with me.

You can contact the DAC through our Request Advice Form
