Huge congratulations to Rachel on this achievement. It is a great moment for any discipline/department when a PhD student completes their PhD journey – the Department of Government and Politics is very proud to add Rachel’s name to our list of accomplished and successful PhD graduates.
Congratulations also to Rachel’s supervisors Dr Fiona Buckley and Dr Liam Weeks, Professor Yvonne Galligan (TU Dublin). Rachel’s viva was chaired by Dr David Fitzgerald (School of History, UCC). The External Examiner was Professor Peter Allen (University of Bath) and the Internal Examiner was Dr Theresa Reidy (Department of Government and Politics).
We wish Rachel every success as she celebrates today and as she pursues what will no doubt be a wonderful future career.
