The Geographical Society of Ireland awarded first place for a Physical Geography Undergraduate Dissertation to UCC geography student, Veronique Morel for her work on the Iveragh Peninsula. The judges felt that it was an extremely well-written and professionally presented piece of work and that the photos and pictures included merited special attention.
An awards ceremony was held in Dublin at the Royal Irish Academy House on the evening of April 20th. Veronique is pictured here with Professor Mark Boyle, President of Geographical Society of Ireland.
Congratulations to Veronique and to Dr. Fiona Cawkwell, her supervisor, on an excellent piece of work.
