Global Bronze Award for Outstanding Presentation

Megan Ross presented Bronze Award for Outstanding Oral Presentation at the Global Food Science Student Competition Jiangnan University, Wuxi, China - November 2018.

Megan Ross, who is at present studying for her PhD in Food Science, under the supervision of Professor Alan Kelly, was awarded the highly prestigious Bronze Award for her presentation at the Global Food Science Student competition in Jiangnan Unviersity, Wuxi, China.

The 2018 Global Food Science Student Competition was one of a series of events celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Jiangnan University. The competition was held on November 14-18, 2018 in Wuxi, China on the theme of Food Science and Culture: Innovation, Communication and Collaboration. About 100 graduate students from more than 40 countries joined this grand event. It provided a unique forum to present original research, exchange latest results, share stories and make friends.

The competition hosted oral and poster presentations by graduate students currently specializing in food science or those interested in food science and food culture. The topics of the event included food safety, food chemistry, food physics, food processing, nutrition and health, food biotechnology, food product development, food culture and other related areas.
