Celebrating Stonewall
Friday 28th June 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York. Stonewall was a key moment in the liberation of LGBT+ people. For the first time, they engaged in forceful, organised and visible public resistance against their oppression.

And to mark the anniversary, we also invite you to enter a book competition – a chance to win Marc Stein’s The Stonewall Riots: a Documentary History(NYU Press, 2019) and Orla Egan’s Queer Republic of Cork (Onstream, Cork, 2016).
