Ed Yong award-winning science writer visited the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience on his trip to UCC

Ed Yong is an award-winning science writer and blogger, he captivated his audience at his Seminar “Science Communication in the Social Media Age: No one has to read this…” which took place in UCC Western Gateway Building lecture theatre on Thursday 30th October.

Ed Yong  blogs at “Not Exactly Rocket Science” hosted by National Geographic and his work has also appeared in Wired, Nature, the BBC, New Scientist, The Guardian, The Times, Aeon, Discover, Scientific American, The Scientists, Slate and more. He is currently writing a book “I CONTAIN MULTITUDES” – about how microbes influence the lives of every animal , from humans to squid to wasps will be published in 2016.

Ed Yong was warmly welcomed by Professor Cryan and staff.
