Ports Past and Present is an interdisciplinary and intersectoral project led by Claire Connolly (English, UCC) in partnership with Aberystwyth University (Geography), the University of Wales Trinity St David (Celtic Studies) and Wexford County Council. PPP researches the cultural heritage of Irish sea crossings, with a view to enhancing knowledge of and engagement with that history and increasing tourist footfall in the ports. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Ireland Wales Cooperation programme (2019-2023).
