7 October - Embedded Systems: Music, Buzz and … Applied Psychology

Interdisciplinary research is a key attribute of Embedded.Systems@UCC research group. Throughout the years, a number of projects tackled some of the most stringent Global issues with solutions and approaches that better the humanity (as kindly commended by the  IEEE and IBM, two giants of electronic engineering). Some of these high impact solutions, while simple in concept, take a completely different perspective from traditional approaches and some serious engineering work. If you want to hear what’s the buzz linking Irish weather, embedded systems and music; how we make toys to dance (Riverdance!) and bring at least one smile for those children for whom a basic right is somehow denied; or indeed translate brainwaves into sounds for a more accurate clinical interpretation join us in this truly interdisciplinary seminar.
