UCC celebrates graduates at spring conferring ceremonies
- More than 420 graduates from UCC’s College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences will join global alumni community at this week’s conferring ceremonies.
Graduates in International Relations, Translation Studies, Creative Writing and Applied Psychology are among those who were celebrated at University College Cork’s Spring Conferring ceremonies on Tuesday, 24 March 2026.
More than 420 candidates were conferred with awards including Masters, Masters of Science and Masters of Education at UCC College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences’ ceremonies.
UCC President Professor John O’Halloran MRIA said: “Today marks an important milestone and a chance to reflect on your journey while celebrating your achievements with lecturers, family and friends. We need your talent, creativity and commitment to help address the challenges facing our world. As you join UCC’s global community of more than 225,000 alumni, we hope you will remain connected with us and with each other wherever your path leads.”
Professor Stephen Graham, Head of UCC College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, said: “Our graduates continue to pursue excellence in their fields, responding thoughtfully and creatively to the opportunities and challenges of our time. Getting to this day takes real commitment, and you should take pride in that. What you’ve learned here goes beyond your degree – it’s how you critically think, how you communicate across cultures and navigate the world. We’re immensely proud of all you have achieved and wish you every success in the years ahead
