The Cork Carnival of Science takes place on the 6th and 7th of June and the School of BEES will be there.
On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of June, Cork Carnival of Science at Fitzgerald Park features non-stop, family-friendly experiments, interactive activities, games, street food and a packed line-up of live demonstrations and big-top science shows. Open from 11am to 5pm each day, Cork Carnival of Science is supported by Cork City Council and Research Ireland.
The School of BEES will be participating in this year's carnival so if you want to take part in our 'Nature Scavenger Hunt'; meet some meat-eating plants; get to grips with some zoological specimens; or discover some amazing geology, come and say hello. We'll have a range of activities throughout the weekend to help discover the natural world around us.
With 26 science shows and over 50 fun-filled STEM activities combined with some tasty street food, Cork Carnival of Science offers a great day for all the family.
Covering a variety of subjects from plant science, zoology, ecology, geoscience, environmental science and agricultural science, members of the School of BEES teach and carry out research across the natural world. The School of BEES seeks to advance and apply our understanding of the natural world though excellence in research, teaching and innovation - helping to solve some of the global challenges of our time. At the Cork Carnival of Science, visitors will have a chance to meet our scientists, find out more about what we do and take part in fun, hands-on activities and experiments.
