BSc Environmental Science with Environmental Management students meet UCC President Prof. John O'Halloran.

The first group of Year 3 students studying the MUC-UCC dual degree, BSc Environmental Science with Environmental Management arrived in Cork on Friday, 14 January.

The School of BEES was delighted to welcome our students from Minzu University China who are studying the MUC - UCC dual degree course, BSc EMS, (Environmental Science with Environmental Management).

Though the pandemic interrupted the plan to spend all of year 3 in UCC, 16 third year students made the journey to continue their studies on UCC Campus for Semester 2 and to experience student life in Ireland. They arrived on Friday 14 January and were met at Cork airport by Head of School of BEES, Professor Astrid Wingler and Programme Coordinator for BScESM, Dr Markus Eichhorn.

The students came to campus on Monday where they had an orientation session in School of BEES followed by a tour of main campus with Emma Connolly, UCC International Office. Their tour of campus included a chance meeting and photo opportunity with UCC President, Professor John O’Halloran. It was a great start to the week and bodes well for the rest of the semester.
