The European Meeting for PhD Students in Evolutionary Biology, EMPSEB, will hold its 26th annual meeting in Killarney from the 19th – 24th April 2020.

For the first time in the conference’s 26-year history, EMPSEB will be held in Ireland, with Muckross Park Hotel and Spa playing host to delegates. Supported by the European Society for Evolutionary Biology, this conference allows PhD students working in all fields of evolutionary biology to present their work and receive feedback from peers as well as established researchers.

Three PhD students from the School of BEES (Ronan O’Sullivan, Sarah Ryan, and Floriane Leseur) are on the organizing committee, working with colleagues from institute’s across Europe. “Hosting EMPSEB in Ireland for the first time in the meeting’s history is an exciting prospect. It will provide a platform to showcase the extent and quality of evolutionary biology research that is undertaken here in Ireland, as well as bringing a talented group of early-career researchers together from across the world. We hope to attract PhD students from as diverse a pool of disciplines as possible ”, said Ronan O’Sullivan, Chair of the EMPSEB 26 organization committee.

EMPSEB 26 will be held in Killarney from the 19th – 24th April 2020. See the EMPSEB 26 website for further details. Follow @Empseb26 on Twitter.
