The Cunningham Award for 2015 was presented to a BEES student for her undergraduate project.
Congratulations to Sarah Galloway on winning the national Mark Cunningham Award 2015 for best undergraduate geological mapping project with “The Geology of the Glentrasna area, Connemara, County Galway”. Sarah is pictured at the national awards ceremony at the Geological Survey of Ireland last Friday. A great day and well done!
The Cunningham Awards, established in memory of Dr Mark Cunningham, ex-Assistant Director of GSI (Geological Survey of Ireland), recognise the continuing importance of field mapping in developing observational and interpretative skills in geology.
