Registration is now open for the UW0005 University Wide Module in Sustainability
Registration is now open for UW0005 University Wide Module in Sustainability, a recent recipient of the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Sessions will take place online on Thursdays from 6-8pm, commencing Thursday 26 January. The theme of the module is “Putting Sustainability in its place, putting yourself in the picture” and it is open to students, staff and the general public. The module can be taken for additional credit (5 Credits), Digital Badge, or Interest Only.
Accreditation/certification will be available via ‘digital badging’ i.e. a digital certificate/badge indicating that you have completed the course and associated coursework, and displaying the relevant accreditation level, validated by the university.
This module is coordinated by Dr Gerard Mullally, Sociology Department, UCC, and will be delivered in 12 x 2 hr. sessions by staff from the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Science (ACSSS); College of Science, Engineering and Food Science (SEFS); College of Business and Law and visiting lecturers. The objective of the module is to provide participants a broadly-based interdisciplinary introduction to sustainability issues as a foundation for 'sustainability citizenship'.
