Global sustainability is far from assured, and pressures both on the environment and on populations are increasing rapidly. The challenge is to invent and deploy models and solutions that are economically and socially sustainable. UCC’s Masters degrees empower students to develop ways to enhance our environment–and all its inhabitants–rather than exploiting it.

UCC has long-established green credentials and academic strengths in both terrestrial and marine science/law. As an island nation with a rich agricultural tradition, we understand that natural and human environments are complex and interconnected. This strand will appeal to those with an interest in sustainability and the industries, legal structures, and ideas that flow into eco-tech industries.
