Two EEE students win runner-up prize in the MIDAS Ireland 3rd Level Project Competition 2014

Two EEE students(Tadhg Lambe and Alex Jaeger) supervised by Dr. Emanuel Popovici of the Embedded Systems Group received the runner-up prize in the MIDAS Ireland 3rd Level Project Competition 2014 at a ceremony in NUI Galway on the 28th of May. Their final year project entitled Smart Toy Interfaces: Towards Collaborative Signal Processing and Smart Interaction received the recognition of the esteemed MIDAS jury and a prize of 250 euro. This great achievement comes after another international recognition in the IEEE/IBM Smarter Planet Challenge(second prize).
