Chair Professor Nabeel Riza , Honoured as Chair of Nobel Prize Lecture Plenary Session of the 25th ICO International Optics Congress Germany
At the recently held ICO: International Commission for Optics 25th General Congress, Dresden, Germany https://www.ico25.org/, Chair Professor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Nabeel A. Riza of University College Cork (UCC), Ireland was honoured with appointment as Chair of the Nobel Prize Lecture Plenary Session held September 6, 2022. The Nobel Lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Stefan W. Hell, Director, Max Planck Institutes at Göttingen & Heidelberg & Professor, Universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg, who was co-awarded the 2014 Nobel Prize for his work in high resolution optical microscopy. Prof. Hell is also the 2000 ICO Prize winner. Prof. Riza received the 2001 ICO Prize. Prof. Riza was also Chair of the Optical MEMS and Micro-Optics Conference, one of 19 Conferences held at the ICO-25 Congress.
