Tonight, the Department of Paediatrics & Child Health welcomed paediatric consultants from Cork University Hospital, University Hospital Kerry, and Tipperary University Hospital to its Annual Paediatric Educational Event. 

We are delighted to congratulate our colleague, Prof Juan Enrique Trujillo, on his appointment as Clinical Professor at University College Cork. This prestigious recognition reflects his outstanding contribution to patient care, research, teaching, and innovation, as well as his unwavering commitment to advancing academic medicine and improving outcomes for children and families. 

This afternoon, we had the absolute pleasure of attending the first graduation of Postgraduate Master’s students in both the MSC Allergy & Clinical Immunology programme and the MSC Paediatrics & Child Health programme. It was such a joyful afternoon, full of pride, and a genuine sense of achievement for everyone involved.

We also want to warmly acknowledge those who couldn’t join us today,many of whom are based outside Ireland or were unable to step away from clinical commitments.

To our graduates: you have made history as our first cohort. You’ve set a standard, created a legacy, and paved the way for all future students who will follow in your footsteps. We cannot wait to see the impact you’ll create across Ireland and around the world.
