Strengthening Clinical and Academic Partnerships in Paediatrics
Tonight, the Department of Paediatrics & Child Health welcomed paediatric consultants from Cork University Hospital, University Hospital Kerry, and Tipperary University Hospital to its Annual Paediatric Educational Event.
Tonight, the Department of Paediatrics & Child Health was delighted to welcome paediatric consultants from our partner clinical sites, including Cork University Hospital, University Hospital Kerry, and Tipperary University Hospital, to our Annual Paediatric Educational Event.
The event brought together colleagues from across the region for an evening of learning, collaboration, and professional engagement, highlighting the strong partnerships between our academic and clinical communities.
We were privileged to hear from a distinguished panel of speakers. Our sincere thanks to Prof Tony Foley for his insightful presentation on Medicine 2032 and the future of curriculum development in medical education. We also thank Prof Colin Hawkes for providing a comprehensive update on paediatric services and forthcoming initiatives across HSE Southwest. Finally, we are grateful to Mr Ray O'Leary for delivering a practical and thought-provoking session on retirement planning, offering valuable guidance for attendees at all stages of their careers.
Events such as these provide an important opportunity to strengthen connections between our academic and healthcare partners. By sharing knowledge, experiences, and ideas, we enhance our collective capacity to deliver excellence in paediatric care, advance medical education, and support lifelong professional development.
