Congratulations to Dr Juan Enrique Trujillo Wurttele on Appointment as Clinical Professor
We are delighted to congratulate our colleague, Prof Juan Enrique Trujillo, on his appointment as Clinical Professor at University College Cork. This prestigious recognition reflects his outstanding contribution to patient care, research, teaching, and innovation, as well as his unwavering commitment to advancing academic medicine and improving outcomes for children and families.
Prof Trujillo plays a pivotal role within our postgraduate education programmes. He serves as Programme Director of the MSc in Allergy & Clinical Immunology, is a module coordinator in both the Allergy & Clinical Immunology and Paediatrics & Chilld Health postgraduate programmes. Through these leadership roles, he has made a significant impact on the development of specialist healthcare education and the training of healthcare professionals both nationally and internationally.
A Consultant Paediatric Allergist at Cork University Hospital and Lead Investigator at the INFANT Research Centre, Prof Trujillo trained in Paediatric Allergy and Pulmonology in Barcelona and holds specialist European accreditation in Paediatric Allergy and Immunology. His research interests include food allergy, asthma, immunotherapy, clinical trials, and allergy education. He has led innovative research projects and has been instrumental in developing allergy services and advancing paediatric allergy care in Ireland.
