Funded places on CPD modules at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, UCC

there will be 250 free or heavily-subsidised places on short, modular CPD courses
We are delighted to announce that there will be 250 free or heavily-subsidised places on short, modular CPD courses (covering 90-100% of tuition fees). These funded places have been made possible under the HEA & Government of Ireland (July Stimulus Package) Postgraduate Skills Provision as announced by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. These places represent a new route into lifelong learning, and provide upskilling and reskilling opportunities for those who need it, while ensuring that nurses are ready for the labour market.
No Fees Apply for Unemployed / PUP / Returners (100% funded) .
Employed / Recent Graduates must pay 10% of the overall course fee (90% funded).
Programme orientation will be online on the 14th December 2020. Applications are open now for the January 2021 intake. In order to be considered eligible for one of the CPD module places, completed applications must be submitted online by the 27th November 2020.
10 credit Modules included in this scheme are:

- MH6029 Decision Making and Advanced Practice Professional Roles
- MH6030 Leadership, Quality Improvement and Governance for Advanced Clinical Practice
- NU6117 Contemporary Approaches to Neurological, Cognitive and Mental Health in Later Life
- NU6302 Practice Enhancement for Quality Healthcare
- NU6312- Contemporary Issues in Healthcare
NURSES AND MIDWIVES CAN APPLY FOR:
- NU6158 Evidence Based Cervical Screening
- NU6070 Clinical Leadership in Practice Enhancement for Nursing and Midwifery
- NU6171 Principles in Intensive Care Nursing

Completed applications must be submitted online by the 27th November 2020. CPD modules will start on the 4th January 2021.
