IGNITE Alumni David Cashman's Well Schools Network used as a Case Study for Knowledge Transfer Ireland

IGNITE alumni LegitFit, a Cork-based gym management software company, has successfully raised approximately €1.74m to fuel its growth in the competitive UK market.

Monday 26 August 2024 is the closing date for applications for the next intake of start-up founders for the next IGNITE programme in October 2024. 

Conor Lyden, founder of Trustap, an escrow-style payment provider, has raised $5.5 million in capital to support product expansion as the company grows internationally.

Congratulations to Sean O’Sullivan, founder of Lion’s Reign, for walking away as the second runner up in IDEATE Ireland 2024. Sean O’Sullivan participated in START-UP LAB in Spring 2024, a part of our SPARK student start-up supports, receiving the Start-Up Lab “Best Pitch Prize.”

On Wednesday, May 29th, the UCC's research community celebrated excellence in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship with the UCC Research and Innovation Awards ceremony.

Innovation, sustainability and social impact are at the heart of start-up ideas presented at the IGNITE Awards & Showcase in the Hub, University College Cork last evening, April 17^th.

On Tuesday 12 March, we hosted the Start-Up Lab Spring 2024 Grand Pitch event and each participant gave a 3-minute pitch to an adjudication panel.
