Five IGNITE Alumni Featured in The Bridge
Five IGNITE alumni have been featured in the latest edition of The Bridge, University College Cork's alumni magazine, which celebrates the achievements of graduates making an impact across business, innovation and society.
NeuroBell, co-founded by Dr Mark O'Sullivan, Dr Alison O'Shea and Colm Murphy, has developed an AI-powered medical device that accurately detects seizures in newborn babies, helping clinicians intervene earlier and improve outcomes. The company recently secured €2.1 million in funding to support its next stage of growth.
AnaBio Technologies, founded by Sinead Bleiel, specialises in microencapsulation technology that protects sensitive health ingredients, improving their stability and effectiveness in consumer products. The company grew from Sinead's PhD research at UCC and Teagasc.
TrustDish, co-founded by Shannen O'Reilly, is helping people with food allergies and intolerances dine out with confidence through an app that connects customers directly with participating food businesses to provide accurate allergen information.
Trustap, founded by Conor Lyden, has developed a secure payments platform that protects buyers and sellers by holding funds safely until transaction conditions are met. Today, the company works with online marketplaces and ecommerce brands in more than 27 countries.
LegitFit, co-founded by Ryan O'Neill, provides business management software for gyms, studios and fitness professionals, streamlining everything from class scheduling and memberships to payments, client communications and analytics. The company is backed by Techstars and venture capital investors and operates across Ireland, the UK and the US.
The feature reflects the breadth of innovation emerging from the IGNITE community and the lasting impact of the programme in supporting founders as they build ambitious businesses.
