Mode of Teaching Delivery and Timetables

The Department is committed to delivering as much teaching as possible in face-to-face lectures and classes as per the University’s recommendations for teaching delivery in 2020-21. In line with national guidelines on health and safety matters in the current pandemic context, attendance at some lectures and classes will necessarily be restricted in numbers on a staggered basis in order to observe social distance requirements. Arrangements for staggered attendance will be made depending on teaching room size and number of students taking a particular module/class. Where possible all students will attend when social distance requirements can be maintained, but in some cases, staggered attendance will permit only a proportion of students to attend at a particular class. Arrangements for staggered attendance will be made in September when final social distance requirements may be updated for universities, and when module numbers are confirmed following student registration. In those cases where staggered attendance has to be arranged, teaching will be done in blended format, with module delivery available online to allow students to maintain continued access to the lecture/class on those occasions when they are not attending.

Initial Class Meetings 2020

Initial Class meetings will take place as follows in each year. Full information on the year ahead will be provided during these meetings by the relevant Year Convenors and Module Convenors.

Meetings will respect social distance requirements, and therefore students should note the specific information below on the meeting they can attend.
