We would like to thank you all again for contributing so generously to the Christmas parties last December, and any time we've asked you. Children in Direct Provision experience lives that are marginalised and isolated in their hostel accommodations. 

As you know, for the past number of years, a group of students, staff and friends of UCC have provided small seasonal celebrations for children living in Direct Provision centres in Cork City and County.  Around Easter time we have had really fun egg-hunt days, thanks to generous contributions and participation of staff, students, societies and others. 

Given the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’re still not in a position to organise parties. However, in consultation with direct-provision residents, we intend to try to lift their lives a little, through distributing Easter Eggs and treats to the to the children. 

If you can afford to make a donation, a small contribution can really help. We've set up a crowdfunding initiative at this link and all moneys gathered will be used for the event.
