Building upon UCC’s impactful work with the Bystander Intervention programme, we are pleased to invite you to the following talk by Professor Bill Flack, Professor of Psychology at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA, who will visit UCC on Monday, 11th November.

“Sexual Assault among U.S. University Students”

 

Dr Bill Flack is Professor and Co-Chair in the Department of Psychology at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where he has taught critical clinical and community psychologies, and conducted research on gender-based violence and psychological trauma, for 19 years. He has a B.A. from the University of Maine, a M.A. from Wesleyan University, and a Ph.D. from Clark University, all in psychology, and he held a postdoctoral fellowship in the National Center for PTSD at the Boston VA Medical Center. He is a member of the Administrator-Researcher Campus Climate Collaborative (ARC3) in the U.S., and he co-founded the U.K.-Ireland RESPECT (Research for Safe Relationships: Education, Collaboration, and Training) Network during a previous Fulbright at Ulster University in Northern Ireland. He is collaborating in teaching and research on gender-based violence among university students during the current Fulbright at NUI Galway.
