Look Closer: exploring the educational lessons of public art on campus

Main Campus, UCC, Wed 9th October, 1pm meet under the Clock Tower in the Main Quad. The event lasts an hour.

Join James Cronin, Centre for the Integration of Research, Teaching & Learning (CIRTL), as he guides participants in looking closer at three public artworks on the main UCC campus. These works are “The Seekers” outside Boole “The Attributes” in Boole Basement and “Fantailled on the Falls” on the Student Centre exterior. This event showcases how CIRTL uses visual communication as entry points to learning by encouraging participants to look closer and longer at artworks in order to make connections to their own practices.

This event is hosted by the Centre for the Integration of Research, Teaching & Learning as part of Community Week 2019.
