Maria Cristina Fumagalli is Professor of Literature, Film and Theatre Studies at the University of Essex, specialising in literatures and visual cultures of the Caribbean. Dr Bridget Wooding is the head of the Caribbean Migration and Development Observatory in Santo Domingo.
