Conversation with Jakeline Romero Epiayu
Join us this evening as we welcome Jakeline Romero Epiayu, indigenous environmental rights defender from Colombia to speak about her community’s struggles against the extraction activities of the Cerrejón coal mine.
Jakeline has held the role of governor of the Zahino indigenous reserve and is part of Fuerza de Mujeres Wayúu, a local human rights organization in the region of La Guajira.
