Hidden Galleries - Digital Archive launched

The ERC-funded Hidden Galleries project has launched its Digital Archive of materials from the Secret Police Archives in Eastern Europe. The Hidden Galleries project, led by Dr James Kapalo from the Study of Religions Department, explores the role of religious minorities in the transformation of Central and Eastern Europe societies in the 20th century as seen through the prism of the secret police archives in the region. The Digital Archive, which forms one of the main outputs of this four-year project, will continue to expand as the project progresses and currently contains materials collected by the project team from archives in Hungary, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine.
