Lauren O'Mahony completes HRB Summer Studentship with IDEAs

Lauren O Mahony who is in her final year of the BSc Public Health Sciences, was a recipient of the HRB Summer Studentship Award (2020).

Lauren worked on the IDEAs project during summer 2020 under the supervision of both Dr Sheena McHugh and Dr Fiona Riordan. Lauren analysing data from the original IDEAs consensus study (WP1). Her research compared the perspectives of people with diabetes and health care professionals’ in terms of the acceptability and feasibility of proposed intervention content and modes of delivery. By comparing the perspectives of both groups, this work sought to distinguish what is acceptable and feasible to whom, and why. Lauren is currently writing up the results for publication – watch this space!
